FUNDAMENTALS OF THE EMERGENCE OF PHARMACY: HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

Aim. The aim of the research is to define the main trend in the development of pharmacy as a system of scientific knowledge.

Material and methods. A comprehensive search for publications in Russian and English in the academic databases eLibrary.ru, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Methods of logical analysis, comparison, and synthesis are used in the research.

Result. The analysis of the historical stages of the evolution of pharmacy showed that in the empirical aspect of scientific knowledge, pharmacy is at the highest, third stage of development, but the theoretical aspect of cognition has only passed from the zero stage to the first stage, and the methodological aspect (in its embryonic state) is in the first stage. In terms of determining the prospects for fundamentalization, pharmacy has good prospects due to its close ties with fundamentally developed chemistry and potentially fundamental medicine.

Conclusion. In the history of pharmaceutical science, the current stage of development is replacing the previous ones. The creative thought of Big Pharma is evolving by using the achievements of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and the knowledge of scientists to form the theoretical and methodological aspects of pharmaceutical scientific cognition. The philosophy of pharmacy is the application of scientific knowledge to solve the practical problems of the existing professional practice.
