The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk factors of chronic non-communicable diseases among military students as predictors of proxy diseases.
Material and methods. At the first stage, based on the results of anonymous questioning (the sample - 46 cadets) of the Air Force Academy named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin (Voronezh), it was revealed that more than half of the respondents (62.2%) lead a healthy lifestyle. Do not adhere to a healthy lifestyle - 10.9% of the respondents. Doubt whether they lead a healthy lifestyle or not – 23.9%.In the second stage, the authors structured the risk factors and their impact on health, as well as the methods of preventing chronic non-communicable diseases. In the third stage, they analyzed the chronic non-communicable diseases and risks among military personnel aged 55 (a sample of 100 individuals) for the presence of chronic non-communicable diseases.
Results. Based on the results of the survey, the authors conclude that the younger generation understands the importance of taking care of their well-being. Additionally, it should be noted that the non-adherence to a healthy lifestyle (10.9%) may have a negative impact on the health of students in the future. The authors demonstrate that based on the assessment of the health of patients aged 55, the prediction of the occurrence of proxy diseases is based on the following risk factors: poor diet, overexertion, and the abuse of harmful habits, such as smoking and drinking alcohol.
Conclusion. Maintaining good health is crucial for maintaining military discipline. Paying attention to the risk factors of chronic non-communicable diseases can help develop effective preventive measures to ensure the health of military personnel.
