COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMICS OF THE PARAPHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS AND MEDICINES MARKETS IN A PHARMACY ORGANIZATION: TRENDS AND PROSPECTS

Aim. Analysis of the demand for parafarmaceutical products in a pharmacy organization by group in comparison with pharmaceutical products.
Materials and methods. The study was conducted by analyzing the demand for medicines and parapharmaceutical products during 2020-2024 on the basis of pharmacies in Orel. The demand for certain groups of parapharmaceuticals and their manufacturers was also studied. In carrying out the analysis, we used the technique of combined two-factor ABC- and XYZ-analyses, statistical, sociological and marketing methods of research.
Results. As a result of the work carried out, it was revealed that at present, parapharmaceutical products are actively occupying an increasing segment of the pharmacy business, and income from its sale is steadily increasing. This is due to more favorable conditions and rules for the sale of such goods, as well as the constant expansion and updating of their range. An intragroup analysis of demand showed that therapeutic and preventive nutrition products are leading, namely: biologically active food supplements, mineral waters, children's, medical and sports nutrition. Among the manufacturers of parapharmaceutical products during the study period, the share of domestic companies increased significantly.
Conclusion. As a result of the research, it was found that a wide range of parapharmaceutical products of good quality does not adversely affect the completeness and quality of drug provision of the population.
